Welcome to my website. I'm Carol Price Spurling, a freelance writer. My favorite topics are food and agriculture; cooking with children; European culture; folk and domestic arts; and sustainability.
I write for newspapers such as the Spokane Spokesman-Review; magazines including Northwest Travel and MaryJanesFarm; journals, newsletters, and websites, and sometimes I work on special publishing and publicity projects for individuals and non-profit organizations.
My syndicated Kids in the Kitchen column is available for publication throughout the U.S. Its website, www.kids-in-the-kitchen.net, is in development. Do you want your local newspaper to carry the column? Tell them to contact me.
My family's in France and Ireland for a year of hands-on learning about real farm food. After a rewarding and educational stint at Gubbeen House in West County Cork, Ireland, we've returned to France for the spring and summer. See my blog at www.gastrosabbatical.blogspot.com for the latest news. I have other blogs too, you can find them by looking at my blogger profile that's on the right hand side of the blogspot page.
Editors: want first dibs on my stories? Contact me to discuss what I can write for you.
